Oil on canvas – 20 x 16″

I was a ballerina as a little girl. I had the honor of being part of Danzas de Venezuela, an academy run by the famous folklore dancer Yolanda Moreno.

Ah, those days were fun. My parents took me out of the academy because an instructor commented that I was a little chubby.

I wasn’t.

  1. This is lovely 🙂

  2. Well, Thank you my lovely Wendy!

This is a piece I painted last weekend for my super awesome supervisor where I did my internship. I’m taking it tomorrow and I hope she’ll like it.

I’ve started to think I have an unconscious fascination with mimes. I think it is because they have so much to say although they never ‘say’ anything. I feel that way sometimes. Remember that one time when that guy “Mike” told you, Ivonne and I that we spoke a lot with our gestures? Like our arms and hands?

    HA! We are all mimes.

    …and ballerinas.

  3. Ha! yes we are very much like mimes. 🙂
